The convoy of Benue state governor, Dr Gabriel Suswam and his deputy, Chief Steven Lawani was on Friday involved in an auto crash on Makurdi-Gboko road.
The accident occurred while a driver of a station wagon conveying passengers to Makurdi on top speed wanted to overtake other vehicles ahead of him, but realizing that it was too late to apply his brakes rammed into the governor's convoy in the opposite direction.
Governor Suswam's birthday will be celebrated in grand style today, 15 of November with President Goodluck Jonathan in attendance.
