On Monday December 15, a Federal High Court In Oyo state instructed the Inspector General of Police, Sulaiman Abba to investigate Oba Lamidi Adeyemi, the Alaafin of Oyo over alleged criminal activities levelled against him.
Justice Ayo Emmanuel granted the order to investigate the monarch.
The suit was registered on July 7 2014, while the court sat on the matter on October 6, November 29, December 4 and entered it's ruling yesterday, December 15, 2014.
The chief press secretary to Alaafin of Oyo, Azeez Fehintola reacted to the ruling saying it was strange to the monarch as he had no knowledge of the suit.
