Security agents were last night working frantically to track the whereabouts of a son of the former Chief Justice of Nigeria, Justice Muhammadu Lawal Uwais who was said to have joined ISIS.

A San Francisco based paper, THEWILL, has reported that a son of a retired Supreme Court Justice and former Chief Justice of Nigeria, CJN, Justice Muhammadu Lawal Uwais, GCON, has reportedly joined Islamic terrorist group, Islamic State of Syria and Iraq, ISIS.

According to the report quoting knowledgeable intelligence sources, the son of the former CJN left Nigeria few days back with his wife and children to join forces with the notorious ISIS, which has been declared a terrorist organisation by the United Nations and 50 other countries.

According to THEWILL, an intelligence report came from Saudi Arabia, one of the countries that has designated ISIS as a terrorist organization to that effect. The intelligence sources quoted also said that Justice Uwais who was Nigeria’s Chief Justice from 1995 -2006 and was the Chairman on the review of Nigeria’s electoral laws in 2007, has been informed about the development.

Ibrahim Uwais gave his parents and everyone around him, the impression that he hates Boko Haram because of the "damage" they are doing to Islam - but he has now gone to Syria apparently to join thr Islamic state militants.
