Every girl needs a great pout to finish off the perfect look. As a beginner, I wish someone told me to buy specific colours instead of me going wild and buying several shades of red. Well, I’m here to help you out and tell you the 5 shades of lipstick every girl should have in her makeup bag.
1. Red
Every girl needs a red lipstick. It’s beautiful and a great red lippie fits every shade of skin. My favorite one is ‘Funke’ from House of Tara. You can get a tube from any House of Tara store in Lagos and around the country.
2. Pink

3. Purple
I’ve always loved purple lipsticks because they are so different. A nice deep purple can add a ‘vanpy’ element to your makeup. Milani makes a beautiful purple and it is called Sangria. Get it atThe Beauty Boon
4. Nude
For days when you don’t want to stand out, use a nude lip to tone things down. It’s perfect for work and for days when you don’t want your lips to be the star. Get MAC’s Velvet Teddy (a cult favorite) at any MAC store.
5. A wildcard colour
For the days you want to be bold, the days when regular colors don’t just cut it and for the days when your makeup is an extension of yourself, go for a cool wildcard color that you have never imagined yourself wearing. I couldn’t find any retailer in Nigeria that sells crazy colors but a color I want to try is blue! This lip tar is from OCC. Get it when you travel. Or force your cousin or aunty to get it when they travel.
