THE world's shortest man has died of pneumonia aged 75.
Chandra Dangi – who was 21.5in tall – died in the Pacific island of American Samoa after a brief illness.
The primordial dwarf – known as Prince Chandra – was being treated in his home country of Nepal but had travelled 7,500 miles to American Samoa for an appearance.
He was rushed to the Lyndon B Johnson Tropical Medical Center in Pago Pago when his condition worsened but doctors were unable to save him.
Family friend Sujit Dilip – owner of India's Rambo Circus – said: "Today, our circus is flooded with tears at the loss of the world's smallest man who we lovingly called Prince Chandra."
Mr Dangi – who was the same size as six cans of baked beans – became internationally famous and travelled the world after he earned a place in the Guinness book of world records in 2012.
He beat Indian Gul Mohammed – who measured 22.5in before he died at the age of 40 in 1997.
