Adele named best selling artiste of 2015 – The International Federation of the Phonographic Industry (IFPI) has crowned Adele as the best selling artiste of 2015.
Adele had broken a number of records in 2015, starting with the release of Hello, the first single of her third album, 25, and the album’s subsequent release.
Hello had surpassed over 1 million downloads in its first week, with 25 selling over 3 million copies in its first week, both new records.
2014 holder Taylor Swift dropped to third place, with British singer Ed Sheeran finishing at second place following his X album. Justin Biebercame 4th, with One Directionrounding out the top 5.
