A Police Officer, Joseph Ebosele, has been confirmed dead at a hospital in Lagos.

According to reports, the incident happened around 11pm on October 11, 2014. Policemen on patrol arrested a bike man, Lukman, for breaking the traffic law which prohibits the movement of commercial bikes after 10pm.

After seizing Lukman's bike, the leader of the police men handed it over to Ebosele to ride to the station. Furious Lukman reportedly escaped, caught up with Ebosele, and attacked him with an iron rod and rode away with his bike.
