President Muhammadu Buhari has been appointed Bayajidda II of Daura emirate by the Emir of Daura, Alhaji Umar Farouk. Announcing the appointment in his palace, the Emir described Buhari as an illustrious son of the emirate. President Buhari thanked the emir for the honour bestowed on him and called for support in his new task. The emir then presented the president with a sword of Bayajidda and a horse.
