Olu Falae’s family raises N2m, after kidnappers reduce ransom to N90m


The abductors of a former Minister of Finance and presidential candidate, Chief Olu Falae, have reduced the ransom demanded for his release from N100m to N90m.
Punch, however, reports that the family has only been able to raise N2m, which the kidnappers reportedly rejected.
The report states that the abductors called the family on Monday and asked them to raise N90m if they cannot come up with the amount earlier requested amount.
“At the time they called us on Monday night, they said they could only reduce the ransom to N90m, but we begged them to collect N2m, which they rejected.
They said they would call us back today (Tuesday), but as I am talking to you. they have yet to do that.”
