OPC founder, Fasehun says Falae’s kidnap is a ‘political issue’

Founder of the Oodua People’s Congress, Dr. Fredrick Fasehun, believes that the kidnap of a former presidential aspirant, Olu Falae- is politically motivated.
Fasehun, has also ordered OPC members to find Falae, who was abducted in his farm, in Akure, on Monday.
The OPC leader said that he had a special connection with Falae, owing to the fact that they were both born on September 21.
Fasehun further stated that Falae’s kidnap was a slap on the Yoruba people, and he also urged security operatives and agencies to rescue him within 48 hours.
In the statement, he said he had ordered OPC operatives to “immediately launch a manhunt, combing all nooks and crannies of Ondo State and beyond, for the kidnapped politician.”
“We believe this is a political issue. And any politician in Nigeria must make sure that Chief Olu Falae is released immediately. Otherwise, the OPC will take any step available to defend its own.”
“Over 24 hours after this disruption of the life of a dignitary, the government has not issued any statement; rather what we hear is a loud silence from the Federal Government. It is a shame; it is a big shame.”
