Watch Part 2 Of D'banj's Interview On "The Truth" With Olisa Adibua Here

You think you've heard it all? Then be prepared for more explosive revelations.

Recently, D'banj opened up on why he quit Mo'hit Records and how fellow artist, Dr Sid fueled his his split with Don Jazzy.

Below is highlights of the second part of the interview with AOP Olisa Adibua on "The Truth".

– D’banj said Don Jazzy told him that whenever he hears his (D’Banj’s) voice on the radio he always changes the station. That statement, D’banj said, was very hurtful. It hurt him so bad that he left his house and sought refuge in a hotel and then moved on to South Africa.
– He never expected Oliver Twist to be such a huge hit and was in South Africa when it blew up in London and he had to rush over there. He believes the song’s sudden success was God’s way of taking him away from all the drama back home in Nigeria.
– The deal with Kanye West was not completed at this stage, however, Kanye was so impressed with the song that he agreed to make an appearance in the video. As Kanye is an ‘action man’ as D’banj calls him, they shot the video straight away while still in London.
– D’Banj knows that everyone wants him and Don Jazzy to work together again and thinks there is a possible of that happening, if the price is right. He bumped into Don Jazzy in America and they discussed the possibility of a reunion, a business reunion. Don Jazzy told him that it would have to be for the right money for that to ever happen.
– ‘A friend in need is a burglar in the future’ was D’banj response to Olisa’s question on if the duo would get back to being friends – read into that what you may!
– In response to questions about his public support of President Goodluck Jonathan in 2011, D’banj vehemently refuted suggestions that he had been paid for the interview. He stated that he had himself requested the interview and that he felt that it was the right thing for him to do as a man and citizen of Nigeria.
– He admitted that he got paid, but for his work as a musician.
– He felt that the backlash he got at that time was unfortunate as he was put through ‘heat, fire and hell’.
– He wouldn’t be tied down to answering whether he would do the same again this time round as he is ‘unavailable’ right now and travels a lot.
– The conversation between D’banj and Olisa became heated when Olisa started questioning the artiste on the state of his career sinceOliver Twist and it seemed that a ‘raw nerve’ was touched.
– He strongly denied allegations that he did not write Top of the World and said it was a big hit which he really loves and questioned Olisa on who determines what makes a big hit anyway and if his show is The Lie, not The Truth.
– D’banj insisted that he had had great success since leaving Mo’hits. He won awards, traveled the world, had the highest downloaded song in 2013 and reached the point where he wanted to expand and do something new. He made clear that that just because he hasn’t been spending all his time in Nigeria doesn’t mean that he has not been successful.
– He also denied that his new song ‘Feeling the Nigga’ was written for Akon and that he made a cameo appearance in it. He said Akon is in the remix and that they are both his songs. D’banj became agitated when Olisa questioned the ownership of the song.
– Olisa asked what happened to D’banj’s Koko Mobile phone and why it hasn’t been seen in the market but he refused to go into this topic in depth. He said the phone sold out and hinted at a deal with Apple which he cannot talk much about due to contractual limitations.
– He also has a deal with Beat’s by Dre and the headphones will be released soon (hopefully by Easter) in Africa.
– Olisa asked about the rumours, allegations and court actions against him claiming that he has unpaid debts amongst other things. D’anj said that he’s been advised by lawyers not to speak about this in detail but made it very clear that he doesn’t owe anybody any money.
– According to him, the past two years have been some of his best years financially, despite Olisa’s efforts to say otherwise.
– He dismissed the people that have left him and no longer wants to work with him saying that the people who left were not meant to be there in the first place.
– He revealed that he recently had a friend/business associate arrested because he found out that one of his investments was mismanaged to the cost of “around $2m.” The individual had gone behind his back to commit fraud but said the police is now dealing with the issue. He advised young people who are going into business to be very careful with documents and make sure that all papers are always properly signed.
– He refused to answer any questions about women or his personal relationships as it has gotten him in too much trouble in the past. He also refused to give a clear-cut answer as to whether he had a relationship with Genevieve.
– January 31 will be the Lagos release party for his 10th year anniversary. Other celebrations will take place across the world. The celebrations will take the form of parties in clubs and concerts. Following the party in Lagos there will be events in Dubai, South Africa, Malaysia and London.
– Of course, Olisa got him to apologise for the debacle that was his Koko Concert which held at Eco Atlantic in 2012. Recall that quests had to trek for miles along the Eco Atlantic beach to get to the concert venue.

Why I’m inviting Amber Rose to Nigeria – D’banj explains

D'banj is bringing American diva, Amber Rose to Nigeria to host his 10th Anniversary show this weekend.

What you may not know however, is why the Koko master settled for the mother of one whose marriage to rapper, Wiz Khalifa crashed last year.

In a chat with NETng he said; "“It doesn’t matter what anybody thinks about that, what matters at the end of the day is what I want and everybody already knows that when it comes to access to having international friends, no one has it more than I do.
“No one has brought international acts to the country more than I’ve done. The likes of Hollywood actor, Idris Elba, rappers, Tinie Tempah, 2Chainz, Pusha T and several others….
“So it doesn’t matter what it’s costing me and more so if it was all about the money, you probably would have heard adverts from last year about it, so for me it’s not about the money, it’s about having a great kick-off and believe me during the course of the year so many other people will come that will make you wonder: ‘how did D’banj do this.’
And oh, by the way, he calls the show a party...
“And I call it a party because I’m inviting people to come and have fun and celebrate with me. Then throughout the year, we’ll visit different cities, different nations, we’ll be partying in some and at some places we’ll be having the Koko concert. In the last couple of months, I’ve been working on the 10th anniversary album that will be dropping this year, you might have seen the movie trailer as well, and I call it a movie musical.
“The full plan will be rolled out next month, but this first night with Amber Rose is just to party. For me, most people that know my story know how I always move, it’s always a movement, no one is an island, I know my talent, I’m a great entertainer by God’s grace so I’m planning to entertain everyone throughout the whole year, it’s a movement of D’banj and friends, I’ll be sharing the stage with a lot of people through the year.”

Poverty Is What Makes Nigerian Entertainers Flock Around Politicians - Actor Saidi Balogun

Popular actor and producer in the Yoruba movie industry, Saidi Balogun has called out his colleagues to stop flocking around politicians during campaign rallies and endorsements, because he sees it as unprofessional.
And he said such behavior is borne out of "poverty" mentality.

He said this, in a recent interview with Encomium Magazine.

Hear him;“(Poverty), that’s why you see some of our people running helter-skelter, campaigning for all these politicians. But there’s one question we have all not asked, and that’s what makes American artists donate to politicians while the actors in Nigeria are asking from politicians.
Every member of the National Assembly has not made an reasonable law on piracy which has devoured the industry. So, there’s poverty in the industry. If there’s not, you won’t see our people flocking around all these politicians, campaigning, singing and dancing for them.
“I saw a candidate being surrounded by some of our colleagues; I now said to myself, ‘if this man eventually wins, how many actors or musicians will he remember? Although some are doing it to make ends meet.

“And it’s sad because we’re stars. I think we’re supposed to be worshiped, not worshiping others. Even if a governor holds your hand, he’s supposed to be happy. But now, the reverse is the case.”

May God Forgive Those Who Say I Support Boko Haram - GEJ

President Goodluck Jonathan, yesterday, described as wicked, the allegations that he was supporting the Boko Haram insurgency in the north eastern part of the country for political reasons.

Addressing a large crowd at the Ribadu Square where the Presidential rally took place, Jonathan said no sane leader would support insurgency of any type in a country that he presides over.

He said; " “Some people have insinuated that I am behind Boko Haram and I say, may Allah forgive them. There is no human being that will be the leader of his country and instigate crisis. Why should I bring Boko Haram to Adamawa State?
“In 2011, I got 65 per cent of the votes in Adamawa State. How can any mad person insinuate that I am in support of Boko Haram for political reasons? God willing, we will recover all the remaining local governments and join you in redeveloping Adamawa State again.”

I'm A Better Person Because Of Kim Kardashian - Kanye West

Marriage and fatherhood have made Kanye West a better person, he says.
"I've definitely learned how to compromise more," the rapper, 37, told Ellen DeGeneres about being married to Kim Kardashian, 34. "And I've learned how to shut up more. And yeah, I think I'm a better human being because of her and because of my daughter [North]."
He also said he sees a lot of himself in his daughter, especially when she gets frustrated.
"I think I was going through my version of my terrible twos. My daughter, she wants to express herself, and she just doesn't have the words for it. And, for me, there were so many things I wanted to do with film and clothing, and I just didn't have the words or the resources."

When asked if they are planning to have more kids, and how many, he said;"I just want whatever Kim wants," To which Ellen replies with a laugh "

Not Again! President Jonathan's Convoy Stoned In Taraba

After the recent attacks on his convoy in Katsina and Bauchi states, President Goodluck Jonathan’s convoy was yet again stoned on Thursday, January 29, by some irate youth in Jalingo, Taraba State.
The president was in the city as part of the Peoples Democratic Party’s presidential campaign rally.
The youths managed to damage the windscreens and windows of some of the vehicles on the convoy before security operatives used tear gas and horsewhips to disperse them.
According to an eyewitness on the scene, the incident occurred when the President’s convoy was heading to the palace of the Emir of Muri, Abass Tafida, from the airport.
“Security agents ensured that people were moved very far from the main but at a point, the convoy got to a particular village where the youths became restive. Before we knew what was happening, they started stoning the convoy,” a source said.
After the pelting of his convoy, an unperturbed Jonathan was said to have gone to visit Danbaba Suntai, the ailing governor of the state, who was involved in a plane crash in October 2012.

Women with big backsides are better lovers – Charly Boy

Another interesting article written by Charly Boy titled "Nyansh".

Let’s discuss it now, no need to be shy or bashful about this, so stop forming gentleman for me. Wetin men see for women nyash wey be say some people no fit hol body. Is it the owner of the nyash abi the size of the nyash? Nyash get different code names. Some dey call am idi, ike, duwawo, ikebe, bakassi. Whatever language or slang, it still connotes a sense of excitement and adventure. I know many guys who think of riding as soon they see the twin set of assets.
Men generally love a curvy well packaged ass, because it is very attractive, arousing, and sexy. Everyone has a different vision and definition of beauty: whether it is skin deep or just in the eyes of the beholder. Men are attracted to curvy women because they look like women! I’m talking about size 12 to 16.  However, one man’s meat is another man’s mattress, that I know too well. It’s all about proportion; you can be petite but curvy and voluptuous, or big and tall but curvy and voluptuous. BIG doesn’t necessarily mean the woman is obese. Most guys simply love women with curves because that’s what enhances their femininity, makes them women. Only young girls should be flat and thin, lepa straight up and down, because they haven’t yet developed, dem never ripe. Curves define t woman.
For me, I’m so richly blessed, it’s not fair.  I am basically living with a woman whom after several kids still possesses a flat tummy and a “Ghetto/J-Lo butt”. She is no doubt considerably endowed, a flat stomach and a curvaceous butt. In fact this piece is about her. Tsikena! My woman’s nyash be like custom made, e be like something Oyinbo go manufacture finish, come install am for her body. Kai! Curvier women are more confident of their sexuality and are better lovers. Well, maybe it’s all in my head, but it is there. From time to time I love to make other men and women jealous when I take my baby out, I can see men’s eyes following the nyash like a he-goat. Odikwarisky!!
Some people have even caught me in public, either fondling with the nyash or pinching it. To crown it all, her “headlights” no send at all.
The question is… why do men like curvy women with butts?
I think I can manage to answer that. It’s just like women love to see men who have buffed bodies and masculine, men also love women who are curvy.  It’s just a better picture, the rest na story.
From an African man’s perspective, he will tell you straight up “give the bones to the dogs, give the meat to the men”. It is a black thing, we Africans flow like that. Curvy looking figures are the men’s known weakness, any woman in the crowd with such a figure and a smile gets the attention of all the men in the whole crowd. Even if they are with their own women at that moment they will still try to make an excuse to look at her curves.
Have you ever wondered why the cheese has two nice folds and not one round one? Chai!!! I think the sole purpose for this creation was to give it a provocative nature. E get anything weydem dey take nyash do wey no dey sweet for body? ‘Shiting’, messing, f***ing…So to all the ass men out there, let me know the size you like and the names you call it, as for me CharlyBoy, I like my own nyash custom-built!
However, the real beauty is on the inside, the inside is what is seen after being hypnotized by the exterior. Guys whether the subject of your admiration is small, thin, big, fat, just know that the beauty inside is much better than the beauty outside. These days, The Nyash or Head lamps can be bought, but the quality of the person is in their DNA and can’t be twigged. So watch your wondering eyes, before you fall inside gutter because of Nyash Matters.

Nigerian Woman Hospitalized After Allegedly Been Tortured By Her Bosses Who Are Lebanese

One Mrs Grace Okpara, has cried out against her Lebanon bosses in Ibafo area of Ogun State.

37-year-old Grace who worked as a cleaner in the logistic company in Ibafo, where Lebanese couple Joseph and Hala Yasbek - are members of management, claimed she was dragged on the floor by her bosses during an argument, reported the matter at Ibafo Police Division.

She narrated what happened to PUNCH Newspaper saying thus; “I work as a cleaner at the Lebanese company, and I earn N20,000 as salary. The incident happened on January 14 at about 11.30am. We were three working as cleaners in the company.
“That day, Hala said I did not clean the premises very well, but as I tried to explain, she kicked me and I fell. Minutes later when the husband showed up, I reported Hala to him, but he also slapped me.
I fell ill after the incident and went to the hospital for treatment. I was treated at a private hospital in Ibafo. I was discharged on Thursday and then went to report to the police. The fee for my treatment was paid by the police at Ibafo.”
The Ogun state Police PRO, DSP Muyiwa Adejobi confirmed the incident saying;  The two Lebanese were invited, and we have asked them to come back with officials of the company. The Lebanese husband explained that it was the complainant who wanted to hit his wife, and he had to block her (Grace) by pushing her away.
“The fact is that the two parties had been having conflicts for some time.“It is not a matter of assault alone. We are trying to mediate between them. “But if the woman feels she had been so badly maltreated, the police can charge the matter to court.”

Miley Cyrus Replaces Kim Kardashian On The Cover Of Love Magazine

Earlier this week, a new image from the forthcoming issue of LOVE Magazine was revealed,  Kim Kardashian posing alongside Cara Delevingne.

However, Miley Cyrus has since replaced the curvaceous reality star in the shot, with fans editing Kim out of the frame completely and putting the face of the pop princess on there instead. Showing off some seriously impressive Photoshopping skills, fans of the Wrecking Ball hitmaker made it look almost as though she is supposed to be in the frame, as her pal Cara looks on with her trademark silly face.

The original black and white image shows Kim and Cara with wet hair posing together in a striking picture below.

Ludacris Babymama Reveals He Tried To Bribe Her With $10K, A House To Abort Their Child

Things got really messy for rapper Ludacris at 1-year-old daughter's custody hearing yesterday, as he tried to get full custody of his daughter, Cai Bella with babymama, Tameka Fuller.

According to TMZ, Ludacris’ baby mama testified in court that it’s ridiculously ludicrous he’s
fighting for full custody of their daughter, because he desperately wanted her to have an abortion to the point he even bribed her.

Tamika Fuller said when Luda found out she was pregnant he cried, but they weren’t tears of joy. He said it would ruin his life and he then urged her to terminate the pregnancy. Luda initially offered her $10K and a house if she lost the baby.
“I told him the same day I found out. He was not happy. He cried.  He did say this isn’t something that we planned. Let’s move forward with an abortion. The baby’s not going to have a family. The baby is not going to be with the mother and the father in the same house. This is just all bad. This is going to ruin his life and ruin his career. He gave me the money for an abortion actually. It was $900 and some change. We were having a conversation about it.  He was like I can’t take you back to the house. I got 10 grand.  I’ll work it out.  I can help you out with whatever it is you need.  If you need a house…we’re going to work together.”
Fuller believes Luda’s quickie marriage to Eudoxie was just a transparent ploy to show the judge he has a
 more stable home than her.

For now, Luda has been granted primary custody of the child.
